Well, it has been a while I guess, but that's because I have been terribly busy finishing school (doing final stuff this week)
Last year has been crazy concerning the events we visited. We did at least 4 fantasy events and 2 Dickens days.
After the succes of my Drow costume at the EFF in Arcen and the Winterfair at the Archeon, I decided to stick with it for a while. Drow are just so awesome! However it surely needs improvement if I want to be satisfied with it for some time longer.
At the moment it looks like this:

In summer In winter
I really wanted to do some creative on it myself. The sword sheath was handmade, but my dad did the most work.
I already (and still) wanted some leather armour, but due to budget that has to wait. Then, at the Winterfair I stumbled across a kind of shoulder pauldron made of scalemail, and I immediately knew that it was perfect for my Drow. So I got some and went to work. The colourcombination had to be blue green, to fit with the rest of the outfit. At the Winterfair I also got a dyed sheepskin for the back. And this is the result:

And while I was at it I made another one

in my favourite colours while experimenting with the shape

That one is for a second Drow costume I will be working on later this year. (TOPsecret!)
I still need to work on the skirt as that has been kind of the black sheep of the whole outfit. Everything very well thought about, except that. A few days ago I finally figured out how to decorate that a bit so it fits the blue-green colour theme as well as not looking so plain. I want to start on that as soon as possible.
Something very awesome I have got on order from the US is a full body suit. In the same grey colour as the make up, this means I can ditch the black leggins and gloves and make the whole a lot more realistic by making it seem like skin.
I'm SO looking forward to the EFF to actually wear it all!
